My Nest

I was a University of Alabama student who had moved 5 times in 4 years. Every apartment had a different theme. The first year I lived with 3 other girls . It was a struggle to figure out a way to demonstrate our four totally different styles in the common areas. I had a hello kitty shower curtain =) so fun! . The next apartment I lived one of my best girlfriends, Ashley. We both loved to decorate and changed the furniture arrangements pretty much every other week. Ashley was totally into Shabby Chic. I loved it and started to re decorate my room from hot pink and green to pale pink and antique whites. After a year, I moved in with one of the craziest people I have EVER met. I decorated my room in dark purple (probably do to depression  hah )  and my Mom bought me entirely new furniture. However,  I was so unhappy living with this crazy person and I wanted more space than the tiny little bedroom....a short few months later....I moved in a 1 bedroom loft. I LOVED IT! It is the most adorable thing I'd every seen. This apartment  was a mix of  thrift store and antique shop chic. This was my last apartment in T-town.  After college , I moved to Birmingham and lived in my last apartment ever! I loved living in Birmingham near all of the fun shopping, night life and great restaurants. However, hearing your upstairs neighbors business every other night and having to constantly greet strangers while I walked my adorable little pups got pretty old quick! I wanted a house with a fence so I wouldn't have to wake up before 5 am just to walk my dogs. I wanted to be able to paint my walls, plant flowers, park my care in a garage, have a decent sized closet .....well you get the picture. It was finally time to buy my first home!
